PS3 and Xbox360 compatibility
Increasingly, we are seeing arcade machines being marketed as PS3 / Xbox360 compatible, and we feel it is important to explain why, after extensive research, Zombie Arcades chooses not to offer this as a 'feature', and believes it to be nothing more than a gimmick.
99% of PS3 and Xbox360 games will not work on arcade machines, because arcade machines use digital (8-way) controls, whereas PS3 and Xbox360 games use dual-analogue controls (the two thumb controls you see on the controllers). Only a handful of games will work.
If you wish to play the other 99% of PS3 / Xbox360 games, you must stand in front of your arcade machine with your PS3 or Xbox360 controller in your hand. Nope, that isn't a misprint.
PS3 and Xbox360 are next generation consoles for big, next generation TVs.
Some companies are charging in excess of £1000 extra for this 'feature'. We believe it to be a waste of your time and, more importantly, your money.
